Early Learning Centre

Our well qualified early childhood educators have been hand-picked because of the specific expertise and passion they bring to our team and to the children in their care. They combine an amazing ability to facilitate learning with a genuine care for each and every child. Their commitment and professionalism, coupled with their flexibility and experience create the perfect learning environment.   The program is a blend of free play, structured learning activities, and teacher instruction. We give attention to the development of social, emotional, creative, cognitive, and physical skills and provide educational activities that focus on pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills. The program also introduces the full range of school routines, including sporting events, college assemblies, public performances and the borrowing of books from the College library.

“We have watched our twins thrive in a nurturing environment looked after by the most caring & dedicated staff members. The girls love their days at "school" and it's the best decision we ever made.”

Learning at Norwest

Our ELC provides a play-based learning program in which children engage in project learning, experiences designed to further their holistic growth and development and extend their curiosity and interest. In both the Pre-School and Prep rooms, we introduce the DIG and DIGGER programs which are based on the College's Building Purposeful Lives framework (BPL) in order that right from their earliest years children can begin to develop learning behaviors that will facilitate learning for the whole of their life.

National Quality Framework

Understanding that young children learn through play, the Federal government has developed the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to ensure that every early childhood setting delivers quality, play-based, education programs to each of the children in their care.

Christian Growth & Development

Our daily routine provides time each day for the children to be actively involved in Christian growth and development. We have specific times in our day in which we dedicate to Christian growth and development, however, we seek to use every opportunity within the day to share the love and grace of God.
